My summer plans

This summer I plan to work a lot of overtime at work and try and save my money. I would really like to move out on my own this summer so I'm going to have to really buckle down with my money. I would also like to take a vacation somewhere this summer. I would love to go to the beach or Vegas this summer. I went to Vegas in January and I love it there. I'm not sure yet if I want to take any summer classes. If I was smart I would but who knows.

What makes you happy?

There are a few things that make me happy. Spending time with my boyfriend makes me happy. We are also making each other laugh. Playing with my dog makes me happy. He seriously is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He has such a great personality. He has made my favorite part about Christmas be watching him tear open his presents. I also get happy when I give people presents. I love making other people happy. Another thing that makes me happy is shopping. What girl doesn't get happy when she buys a new outfit to wear?

Lemonade

Just recently I found out that my boyfriend has been cheating on me. We have been together for two years. When I first found out everything he has been doing I thought my world was going to be over. Myself esteem was to a low and I thought it had everything to do with me. I have come to relaize that I'm much better without him. He always tried to turn things around on me and make me feel bad. I dont need a person like that in my life. By not being with him anymore and really seeing how things were I know that I don't deserve to be with a person like that. I don't plan on dating for a very long time but I'm excited to finally be with someone that treats me like I deserve.

Pot of Gold

If I was that lucky to find a pot of gold I would defentily cash it in and hopefully obtain millions and millions of dollars. I would help my dad out any way he would want me to. I would probably buy him a house anywhere he wanted and the I would move to the beach. I dont think I would tell anybody that I had money. I would probably just pack my things and move and start a complety new life. I would take a trip to Las Vegas and party like there is no tomorrow. I would love to travel the world for awhile. I would go on a shopping spree. I would also like to open my own animal shelter. Hopefully I wont blow all my money so that way I would never have to work again.

Go Green JCTC Project

I have never really given any attention to oil spills up until I started blogging in this class. I was not aware about the hard work that goes into cleaning these oil spills up. I also didn't know that wildlife was affected so much when there is an oil spill. I'm not sure if I would really say I enjoyed blogging. I think that if I was to blog about something that I was a little more interested in I would enjoy it more. I really don't have any suggestions for improvement. I think that it was very influential to us students about what can cause damage to our environment because I know that a lot of people really don't think or care about what happens to our environment. I have never blogged before.

Martin Luther King

I think what makes Martin Luther King Jr "I Have A Dream" speech effective is that he is such a powerful speaker. He repeats certain words through out the speech so that way it will get stuck in your head of what his speech is about. For example he continues to use the word freedom. Repetion is key to having a good speech. His audience also helps makes this speech effective. They are they to support what he has to say. I believe that the timing of his speech was right. The location of the speech is something that also made this speech effective. He stood infront of the Lincoln Memorail which faced the crowd. I believe this help people to really listen towhat he had to say especially when he would bring up rhetoric issues.

America loves the Olympics

I believe that the statement that Stephen Colbert made about Americans love the Olympics because we get to go to war with everyone at once is very incorrect. I understand that Stephen Colbert was only trying to make a joke about how intense the Olympics may get. My concern about this statement is this a good time to be joking about Americans wanting to be at war? I say this because of the war that we are in now. We did not chose to be in the war we currently facing and I know that there are many Americans that wish we were not in war. I think that the Olympics are probably the only time that we can go against other countries and not have to worry about someone getting killed or seriously injured by the other opponent. This is what makes the Olympics fun is getting to hopefully defeat the country you most despise in a orederly manner. I wouldn't in a joking manner say that it is like war. I wouldn't compare anything to war these days.
